What can you say about a band that’s all about knocking down barriers while digging deep to break new ground? A great deal of course. The New Prophets is an established unit made up of eclectic musical minds influenced by artists ranging from Elvis Presley to Elvis Costello, from The Grateful Dead to The Talking Heads, from Muddy Waters to Roger Waters, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Winwood, and just about everything in between. Their original music is a byproduct of the raw stock of this Rock & Roll stew, while their cover material draws tastefully from the original ingredients in the recipes. Their live performances are a celebration of both.
